Dear Beloved Community,

As we prepare to gather once again in the SI magic at Oberlin, we are reminded of the sacred promises we make to one another. Our Summer Institute Covenant calls on us to “Practice Equity by creating access for all and responding to diverse needs with care.” This commitment is at its strongest when we ensure that financial barriers do not prevent our friends and neighbors from participating in the transformative experience of SI.

Currently, there is a substantial gap between our available scholarship funds and the needs of those seeking to join us this year. To truly live into our promise of being an inclusive community, we need to bridge this gap together.

We are setting a one-week deadline from today to raise the necessary funds to ensure that everyone who belongs at Summer Institute can be there.
