REGISTRATION

  • Your Confirmation Letter

YOUR ROOM

  • Extra-long sized twin sheets, pillow cases and towels (NO LINENS FROM CAL U) – pillow and blanket provided (though you’ll want to bring your own).
  • The beds in the dorms are extra long twins. The beds in the townhouses are regular double beds.
  • Hangers
  • Bath mat
  • Room monitor if you are bringing very young children
  • Cots or air mattresses for children sleeping on the floor
  • Medications/sunscreen/band aids, etc.
  • Alarm clock
  • Reading light/nightlight/clip-on light, etc.
  • Drying rack or line
  • Extension cord/power strip, charging devices for phones/laptops/tablets
  • Flashlight
  • Travel coffee mug
  • Refillable water bottle with name (SI WILL NOT BE PROVIDING DRINKING WATER OUTSIDE THIS YEAR, SO THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL, ESPECIALLY FOR THE KIDS TO FILL AT DRINKING FOUNTAINS)
  • Radio/boom box/iPod, etc.
  • Laundry detergent
  • Window and/or table top/clip-on fans. Sorry, no Air Conditioners allowed.

Things that may affect your packing list

  • No rooms have trash cans
  • No bathrooms have paper towels, so bring a hand towel
  • The townhouses have full kitchens but NO supplies with them. No silverware, no trashcans, no towels, etc.

CLOTHING

  • Casual, comfortable clothing (THERE IS NO DRESS CODE AT ANY TIME), including comfortable shoes
  • Robe and slippers for bathroom down the hall
  • Flip flops for shower
  • Swimming apparel, including extra towels
  • Rain gear/umbrella
  • Pre-washed 100% cotton items for tie-dyeing (limit 2 items)

MONEY AND/OR CREDIT CARDS FOR

  • Pub (NO BYOB AT PUB, BUT YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS)
  • SI bookstore
  • Cal U bookstore
  • Workshops requiring donations
  • Town restaurants/shops/stamps
  • Scholarship activities/donations

EQUIPMENT

  • Note-taking supplies/stationery/envelopes/stamps
  • Lawn chairs, high chairs or booster seats for your children, if needed.
  • Bikes/bike locks/helmets (HELMETS ARE MANDATORY FOR EVERYONE!)
  • Softball & glove/tennis balls and racquets/frisbees/other sports equipment
  • Sewing/knitting/crafts, games/puzzles/kids’ toys
  • Musical instruments/music stands
  • Reading material
  • PEEK! Prize, reusable grocery bag
